About the Role: 

We are currently partnered with a Commercial Builder in Melbourne, who are looking for a new Senior Estimator. They are a prominent construction company, who specialize in a diverse range of Commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating for Commercial Education and / or Clinical construction projects, and will be responsible for managing the estimation process from initial inquiry to final submission. There is also the opportunity to step into a leadership role, mentoring more junior Estimators, and liaising with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements.

• Work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.

• Review and verify the accuracy of estimates and adjust as needed.

• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing.

• Monitor project budgets and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.

• Prepare and present detailed reports and documentation to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

• 5-7+ Years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.

• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
