About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to join a team in Keilor East. Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all deliveries, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and in full.

Maintain the pick and dispatch system, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.

Schedule and optimize drivers' daily runs, including coordinating crane trucks, flat tray/hand unload trucks, and utes.

Minimize transport costs by planning efficient delivery schedules.

Conduct order checks before loading to ensure accuracy.

Monitor delivery status and driver locations using vehicle tracking systems.

Communicate with customers to confirm delivery times, advise on back orders, and address special delivery requirements.

Collaborate with the sales team and yard supervisor to coordinate scheduled deliveries and address stock issues.

Work with the Operations Manager to identify and implement improvements in dispatch processes.
What we are looking for:

Experience: Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing, or logistics, ideally in the timber or building materials industry.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in managing systems, schedules, and orders.

Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with customers, drivers, and internal teams.

Organizational Skills: A proven track record of efficiently scheduling and coordinating complex logistics.

Problem-Solving: A mindset geared toward continual improvement and finding innovative solutions.

Team Leadership: Experience fostering a positive workplace culture and gaining respect from diverse teams.
Highly Coveted Experience:

Proficiency in dispatch management systems or vehicle tracking tools (e.g., BARRY or similar).

Understanding of the building materials industry or related logistics operations.

Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
